Greta Thunberg Fined for Defying Police at Climate Protest in Sweden

Greta Thunberg has been fined over €200 for disobeying police during a climate protest in Malmö, Sweden. Thunberg and other protesters blocked the road to an oil port, and when ordered to move by the police, she refused. Thunberg argued that there is a climate crisis threatening life, health, and property. She was fined 50 Swedish krona per day for 30 days, totaling €129.90, and ordered to pay an additional €86 to the Crime Victim Fund.
