Al-Shabab Strikes Again: Multiple Attacks on Hotels and Restaurants in Mogadishu

Al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Pearl Restaurant in Mogadishu, Somalia, leaving at least seven people injured. The attack took place on Friday evening at the popular upmarket restaurant on Lido Beach. Security forces have successfully neutralised the militants responsible for the attack, and a large number of civilians were rescued during the operation. Al-Shabab has continued to carry out attacks against security and civilian targets, including hotels, in the capital and rural areas.
