Fatal Confrontation: Palestinian Killed in Clash with PA Security Forces

A Palestinian man, Ramzi al-Ardah, was killed by Palestinian Authority (PA) security services during armed confrontations in the Tulkarem refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. The clashes erupted after young men tried to prevent the removal of barricades set up by armed fighters to impede Israeli raids. Al-Ardah's father also suffered from tear gas inhalation. The Tulkarem Brigade armed group accused the PA forces of firing live bullets at camp residents, calling it a "bloody violation." In a separate incident, a Palestinian man was seriously wounded by Israeli soldiers after an alleged car-ramming attempt near an illegal settlement in Hebron. The UN reports that over 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in 2023, making it the deadliest year since 2006.
