Tragic Consequences: Evacuated Families Fall Victim to Israeli Airstrikes

Palestinians in north Gaza who followed Israeli military's evacuation orders to flee south for safety were killed by Israeli airstrikes outside of the evacuation zone, highlighting the lack of guaranteed safety for civilians in the densely populated Gaza Strip. Despite receiving a phone call instructing them to leave, Aaed Al-Ajrami and his family sought refuge in Deir Al Balah, outside the evacuation zone, only to be killed by an airstrike the next day. Many Palestinians are unable to make the journey south and are stuck in northern Gaza, while Israel defends its airstrikes as targeting Hamas assets hidden within civilian buildings. The UN and humanitarian agencies have warned of a humanitarian disaster and condemned Israel's indiscriminate attacks against Palestinian civilians.
