Tragic Loss: Gaza Journalist's Family Devastated by Israeli Airstrike

Ahmed Alnaouq, a journalist and founder of We Are Not Numbers, lost over 20 members of his family in an Israeli airstrike on his home in southern Gaza. Alnaouq started sharing his personal story to raise awareness about the suffering of Palestinians and founded We Are Not Numbers to provide a platform for other young Palestinian writers. The organization has published hundreds of stories, poems, and features, but due to the ongoing conflict, many writers have lost internet connection and electricity. Alnaouq believes that Israel is cutting telecommunications in Gaza to prevent the world from knowing the truth. The UN Secretary General's office has called the humanitarian situation in Gaza a "catastrophe." Alnaouq's family, like many others, was peaceful and just wanted to live in peace. He urges people to give Palestinians a voice and support them in their struggle.
