Escalating Israeli Settler Violence and Attacks in West Bank Heighten Tensions

Palestinian villagers in the occupied West Bank have reported increased harassment from Israeli settlers since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Incidents of violence, including armed raids and sabotaged wells, have escalated, with settlers using the war as a pretext to expel Palestinians from their homes and expropriate their lands. European and US diplomats have condemned the rise in settler violence, and the UN's humanitarian agency has recorded an average of more than six incidents per day between settlers and Palestinians since the start of the war.
