Israeli Forces Clash with Palestinians at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied East Jerusalem

Israeli forces attacked Palestinian worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, as dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the mosque under their protection. Tight security measures were imposed, denying access to Palestinians under 50 to make way for Israeli settlers celebrating Rosh Hashanah. The army cleared the compound prior to the settler incursion, and Muslim worshippers gathered to object to the harassment. Israeli forces physically assaulted and beat up three worshippers, while two men were arrested inside the compound. Video footage of settlers touring the mosque courtyard circulated on social media.
