Ukraine claims responsibility for the death of Russian fleet commander

Ukraine's special forces claim to have killed Russian Black Sea Fleet commander Viktor Sokolov in an attack on Russia's naval headquarters in Sevastopol, Crimea. The attack also resulted in the deaths of 34 officers and caused significant damage to the headquarters building. In response, Russia reported a missile attack on Sevastopol and halted traffic on the Kerch bridge. Hungary criticized Ukraine over the treatment of ethnic Hungarians, potentially delaying the vote on Sweden's NATO bid. Russia added more ICC officials to its wanted list in retaliation for an ICC arrest warrant against President Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the arrival of US Abrams tanks in Ukraine. Ukraine also carried out drone attacks on the Russian regions of Kursk and Belgorod. The EU trade commissioner warned that China's refusal to condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine poses a reputational risk. Additionally, a Russian missile and drone attack in Odesa, Ukraine, injured one woman and damaged port infrastructure.
