Ukraine's Counteroffensive Shatters Russia's Defense Line

Ukrainian armor has broken through Russia's main defensive line in the southeast, making significant advances towards the town of Verbove. Armored vehicles, including American-made Strykers, breached the "Surovikin line" of defenses, composed of trenches, mines, and antitank obstacles. If Ukraine can secure its advance around Verbove and Novoprokopivka, it can then move towards Tokmak and ultimately aim to take the city of Melitopol. Ukrainian forces are also fighting fiercely against Russian forces in Novoprokopivka, with progress being more limited.
