German Heiress' Children Kidnapped During New Year's Eve Celebrations

On New Year's Day, two children of German heiress Christina Block were allegedly kidnapped in Denmark while with their father, Stephan Hensel. The incident occurred at Caféodora restaurant in Gråsten as they watched fireworks. The assailants reportedly knocked down Hensel and forced the children into a rental car, fleeing in two vehicles with German license plates. Danish and German authorities are involved in the manhunt. The kidnapping may be connected to a long-standing custody dispute between Block and her ex-husband over their four children.
