Drone strike hits evacuation train used by visiting leaders near Poland

A Russian drone struck the engine carriage of an evacuated Kyiv-Warsaw train near the Yahodyn border crossing with Poland, minutes after foreign dignitaries including Carl Bildt had travelled on the line; there were no casualties. The incident occurred as Poland intensified air defences amid Moscow’s large drone barrage on Ukraine, part of a wider campaign that also hit infrastructure in Lutsk and Odesa and involved hundreds of drones in a single wave.
