Kenyan Pastor Arrested as 47 Bodies Unearthed in Suspected Starvation Cult Investigation

A pastor in coastal Kenya has been arrested after 39 bodies were found on his land, with more shallow graves yet to be dug up. The pastor was arrested for telling his followers to fast to death, resulting in a death toll of 43, including four who were discovered starving at the Good News International Church. The pastor has been arrested twice before in relation to the deaths of children and is currently on hunger strike while in police custody. Cults are common in Kenya, which has a largely religious society.
