Possible Luring of Former US Pilot and Marine to Australia and China Investigated by Lawyers

A former US military pilot, Daniel Duggan, accused of training Chinese aviators without an appropriate license, could have been lured from China to Australia as part of a US plan to extradite him to his homeland, according to his lawyer. Duggan has been in custody in Australia since October and appeared in a Sydney court Monday for a brief hearing about a US application to extradite him. He denies the allegations and his next court appearance is set for May 1.
