Russia's FSB Foils Assassination Plot Against Prominent Journalists

Seven individuals, including five minors, have been arrested in Russia on charges of "hooliganism" and plotting to kill two prominent journalists, Margarita Simonyan and Ksenia Sobchak. The suspects, allegedly motivated by national hatred, were detained by Russia's FSB security service after carrying out reconnaissance near the journalists' homes and workplaces. The FSB claims that the detainees admitted to preparing attacks on behalf of Ukraine and were promised a reward for their actions. Ukraine has denied involvement in the assassinations of pro-war figures in Russia in the past.
