The search for missing British girl Madeleine McCann has ended on the shoreline of a reservoir in Portugal, with German prosecutors playing down hopes of an imminent breakthrough. Christian Brueckner, a convicted child abuser and drug dealer, has been named as an official suspect in McCann's disappearance. No body has been found, but any discovery of clothing could help the investigation. German authorities have been helping Portuguese crews comb the remote area inland from the Algarve coastal resort where McCann went missing during a family holiday in 2007.
