Teenagers Convicted of Brutal Murder of Transgender Girl Brianna Ghey

Two 16-year-olds, known as Girl X and Boy Y, have been found guilty of the "senseless" murder of Brianna Ghey, a transgender girl who was stabbed 28 times in a Warrington park. The teenagers, who were obsessed with murder, plotted to kill Brianna and exchanged thousands of WhatsApp messages discussing various children they wanted to kill. The jury did not have to decide which one of the teenagers stabbed Brianna to find them guilty of joint enterprise murder. The judge will sentence them next month and decide whether to lift reporting restrictions. Brianna's mother urged empathy and compassion for the killers' parents, stating that they too have lost a child.
