"EU's Ammo Failure in Ukraine Prompts Search for Alternatives"

The Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe, a trade group representing munition manufacturers, has rejected blame for Europe's failure to deliver one million shells to Ukraine. European defense officials had accused the industry of not fulfilling their contracts and diverting shells to export customers. The association stated that they did not have enough time to fulfill orders for Ukraine and were focused on replenishing stocks for domestic customers. They emphasized the need for long-term contracts and political support to invest in expanding production capacities. The association believes it is possible to produce and deliver the shells, albeit with a longer timeline.
