Ukraine's Ground-Launched Glide-Bombs Enhance Defense Capabilities

The United States has pledged a $100 million military aid package to Ukraine, which includes artillery shells, air-defense and anti-tank missiles, cold-weather uniforms, and one High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). The additional HIMARS may be modified to fire a new ground-launched munition called the Ground-Launched Small-Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), which has a range of up to 90 miles and can maneuver backward, allowing it to strike targets hiding behind hills or in urban areas. This will greatly enhance Ukraine's deep-strike capability as it faces Russia's ongoing aggression. The delivery of the GLSDBs is expected soon, potentially increasing the vulnerability of Russian forces across a wider area of Ukraine.
