"US Approves Long-Range Missiles for Ukraine's Coastal Defense System"

Poland is considering selling elements of its coastal defense system, equipped with Naval Strike Missiles (NSM), to Ukraine. The potential sale could include one battery or even an entire squadron of NSMs. If the sale goes through, Ukraine would have a second Western cruise missile system in addition to the MBDA Storm Shadow/Scalp EG missiles. The NSMs would enhance Ukraine's ability to attack ships in the Black Sea and could also be used to target fixed locations in the Sevastopol area. Poland, the first foreign user of the NSM, has already decided to purchase a third squadron with upgraded capabilities.
