Spencer revives decades-old claim about Charles and his valet

Diana’s brother Charles Spencer publishes an excerpt from Swan Song: Diana, My Sister alleging Diana believed Charles was in love with his valet, a long‑standing rumor linked to Michael Fawcett; the allegation, first reported in the early 2000s and investigated by police in 2003 as unsubstantiated, resurfaces as Fawcett later faced a cash-for-honors scandal. Buckingham Palace has publicly pushed back on the specifics, but the disclosure rekindles debate over Diana’s marriage and ongoing royal tensions.
