Italian fountain turns black as climate activists protest.
TL;DR
Climate activists in Italy poured a charcoal-based black liquid into Rome's famous Fountain of the Four Rivers to raise awareness about the future of humanity. The group, Ultima Generazione, has previously led protests at other Italian historical sites. Members of the group were arrested and are facing charges of defacing a public monument. Italy's Minister of Culture condemned the protest and called the group "eco-vandals."
