EU Court Rules Hungary Cannot Block Frozen Russian Asset Profits for Ukraine Aid

The European Court of Justice dismissed Hungary’s challenge to using revenues from frozen Russian assets to fund Ukraine’s military aid, ruling the matter falls outside its jurisdiction and should be handled by the General Court. Because Hungary abstained from initial votes on the allocation, it was excluded from subsequent ERA decisions, while the EU continues directing asset profits to Ukraine’s aid.
