China Withholds COVID Data and Raccoon Dogs Come Under Scrutiny.

The World Health Organization (WHO) criticized China for withholding information that could help determine the origin of COVID-19. Chinese data that became available in January was suddenly pulled offline after researchers offered to collaborate with Chinese scientists to analyze the data. The missing evidence needs to be shared with the international community immediately, said WHO Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. The discovery of raccoon dog DNA in the same area of the Wuhan market where genetic signatures of the pandemic-causing coronavirus was also discovered could help shed light on the origin of the pandemic.
