Guatemalan President warns of massive migrant influx as Title 42 set to expire.

Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales says Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei told him that over 80,000 migrants, primarily from Venezuela, are heading towards the US-Mexico border ahead of the expiration of Title 42 on May 11. The public health order has been in place since 2020 to expel hundreds of thousands of migrants quickly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Biden administration has warned that penalties will be stiffened for those who enter the country illegally, and they are encouraged to use expanded legal pathways instead. However, migrants are still trying to sneak into the US for freedom illegally.
