More Migrants from Texas Arrive in Los Angeles via Second Bus

A second bus carrying 41 migrants from the Texas-Mexico border arrived in Los Angeles on Saturday. The migrants, hailing from various countries, were paroled by the Border Patrol and voluntarily made the 1,600-mile journey. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass's office organized a welcome committee comprising city and county workers, nonprofit organizations, and faith partners. This is the second group of migrants bussed from Texas to Los Angeles, with Governor Greg Abbott directing the transportation of migrants to sanctuary cities across the country. Other California cities, such as Sacramento, have also received migrants. The focus is to receive migrants with dignity and respect.
