Belarusian Red Cross Acknowledges Involvement in Ukrainian Child Cases

The head of the Belarusian Red Cross has admitted to taking children from Ukraine, adding to allegations of mass illegal deportations during Russia's invasion. Some of the children taken from Ukraine have gone missing in the Russian Federation after being sent to Belarus. Members of the European Parliament have called for the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko for helping Russia wage war in Ukraine and participating in the forcible deportation of Ukrainian children. Abducting children without consent during times of war is illegal and can constitute war crimes.
