UN Accuses Russia and Ukraine of Summarily Executing POWs.

The UN has expressed deep concern over the summary executions of prisoners of war by both Russian and Ukrainian forces on the battlefield in Ukraine. The organization has documented killings by both sides, with up to 25 Russian prisoners of war and persons hors de combat executed by the Ukrainian armed forces, and 15 Ukrainian prisoners of war executed by Russian armed forces. The Wagner mercenary group is responsible for some of the killings. Both Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of mistreating prisoners of war since Russia's invasion of Ukraine a year ago.
