Zelenskyy's Uphill Battle: Skepticism from US and EU

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy faced challenges in his efforts to secure financial and military aid for Ukraine during his visit to the US, as congressional Republicans failed to release $61.4bn in aid and the US Senate voted against a $110.5bn measure. However, Zelenskyy did secure $200m in new weapons from the US Pentagon and additional aid from Norway, Denmark, and the UK. Meanwhile, the European Court of Human Rights held a hearing in Ukraine's case against Russia for human rights abuses in Crimea, and there is a possibility that Ukraine may receive an official invitation to start membership talks with the EU. However, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has expressed opposition to Ukraine's EU membership.
