Yevgeny Prigozhin is reportedly shifting the focus of his private mercenaries, the Wagner Group, away from the war in Ukraine and towards African countries such as Sudan, Mali, and the Central African Republic. This comes after a series of setbacks and infighting in Ukraine, where Wagner has failed to capture the city of Bakhmut despite significant losses. Wagner has also been pleading with Russia for more ammunition to no avail. The changes in focus are not yet clear, and evidence suggests that Wagner is still fighting in Ukraine.
