South China Sea Conduct Draws Vietnam's Rebuke.

Vietnam has accused China and the Philippines of violating its sovereign rights in the South China Sea. China's research ship and Vietnamese vessels confronted each other multiple times as the Chinese ship moved within Hanoi's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), while the Philippines placed navigational buoys in five areas of its EEZ to assert sovereignty over the disputed Spratly islands. Vietnam has opposed both actions and is taking "appropriate measures" to defend its rights.
