Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will discuss peace prospects in Ukraine with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his state visit to China next week. Sanchez will push for a fair and lasting peace that includes the territorial integrity of Ukraine, which has been violated by Russia. Spain is a staunch ally of Ukraine and will assume the presidency of the Council of the European Union in July.
