UN Security Council Fails to End Israeli Assault on Gaza, Palestine Observes

The United Nations General Assembly is set to vote on the Israel-Gaza war, but Palestine, as an observer rather than a member, will not have a say. The resolution, proposed by Jordan on behalf of Arab countries, calls for a humanitarian ceasefire after the UN Security Council failed to take action. Palestine's status at the UN is that of a non-member observer, granted in 2012.
