US and Ethiopia strengthen long-term partnership amidst Blinken's visit to Africa.

The United States and Ethiopia have a long-standing partnership based on mutual interests in promoting peace, stability, and economic development. The US is the largest bilateral donor in Ethiopia, providing humanitarian and development assistance, health assistance, and human rights assistance. The US has invested nearly $3 billion to support HIV/AIDS response in Ethiopia and $544 million to support the fight against malaria. The US also supports independent investigations of human rights atrocities and justice and accountability processes for alleged atrocities committed by all sides in Ethiopia.
