Zelensky's Balkan Tour: Strengthening Ukraine's Support Amidst Alliances Shift

Ukrainian President Zelensky has traveled to Greece for talks with Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis, following Denmark and the Netherlands' commitment to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. Zelensky also attended an informal dinner with top officials from nine Balkan nations, as well as European Commission President von der Leyen and European Council head Michel, to discuss the Western Balkans region's future in the EU. Greece has been supportive of Ukraine in its conflict with Russia but has not provided a Russian-made air defense missile system. The pledge of F-16s from Denmark and the Netherlands marks the first real promise of such aircraft for Ukraine's armed forces.
