Ukraine's Nuclear Plant Faces Multiple Challenges Amid Flooding and Water Shortage.

Intense fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces continues in Ukraine's industrial east, while the country's nuclear energy agency has put the last operating reactor at Europe's largest nuclear power plant into a "cold shutdown" for safety due to flooding and shelling near the site. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is occupied by Russian forces, and five out of six reactors were already in a state of cold shutdown. The Ukrainian air force said it had shot down 20 out of 35 Shahed drones and two out of eight missiles launched by Russian forces. At least four civilians have died across the country due to the attacks.
