Ghanaian ACP Agordzo's Inhumane Detention and Coup Plotters' Death Sentences: NAM1 Reacts

Former Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Benjamin Agordzo, acquitted over an alleged coup plot, described his detention by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) as "inhumane," citing lack of information, difficulties in receiving visitors, and limited access to legal representation. He questioned the legitimacy of NIB procedures and emphasized the need for a more transparent and accountable system within security agencies. Despite facing challenges, Agordzo affirmed his commitment to standing up for justice. Six individuals implicated in the alleged coup plot have been convicted, while Agordzo and two others have been acquitted.
