Hong Kong Defies Opposition to Host Asia's Historic Gay Games

The Gay Games Hong Kong (GGHK) kicked off in Asia for the first time, despite opposition from anti-LGBTQ+ lawmakers and human rights activists. The opening ceremony featured a march-in by GGHK and delegations from around the world, along with performances. Over 2,300 participants from 45 countries are expected to take part in sporting and cultural events.
