"US Military Strikes Houthi Air Defense and Missile Systems in Yemen"
TL;DR
The US military announced the destruction of air defense and drone systems belonging to Yemen's Houthi forces in the Red Sea area, with no reported injuries or damage to ships. This comes after Houthi forces claimed to have launched rockets and drones at British, US, and Israeli ships, prompting the US and Britain to launch strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen. The Houthi attacks have disrupted global shipping through the Suez Canal, leading to longer and more expensive journeys around southern Africa.
