"Search Continues for Missing Miners After Cyanide-Laced Landslide in Turkey"

Nine miners are still missing eight hours after a landslide at a gold mining operation in eastern Turkey, with rescue efforts underway. The mine is operated by Lidya Madencilik and owned by Calik Holding and SSR Mining. Security footage showed a mound of soil rapidly crumbling and flowing into the valley. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that 400 search and rescue workers are involved, and Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar will interrupt his international program to coordinate rescue work. The government has launched an investigation into the incident.
