"Powerful Earthquake Rocks Central America as El Salvador Coast Trembles"

A powerful 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of El Salvador, shaking much of Central America. Residents in several cities took to the streets, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The quake was felt strongly in Nicaragua as well, but no victims were reported. The Environment Ministry stated that there was no threat of a tsunami.
