Typhoon Doksuri, also known as Egay in the Philippines, has caused widespread flooding and landslides, resulting in at least one death and several injuries. The storm made landfall with winds of about 220 kilometers per hour, equivalent to a category 4 Atlantic hurricane. Torrential rains and tidal surges are expected, prompting evacuations and the cancellation of flights. The typhoon is expected to weaken as it heads northwest towards Taiwan and China, where preparations are underway for potentially heavy rainfall and strong winds.
