22nd week of protests in Israel against Netanyahu's judicial plan

Tens of thousands of Israelis have protested in Tel Aviv and other cities against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposed judicial overhaul plans, which would weaken the judiciary and limit judicial oversight on laws and government decisions. Critics argue that the plan would grant the government unrestrained power and threaten civil rights and the rights of minorities and marginalised groups. The protests have continued for 22 weeks, despite Netanyahu's announcement in March that the proposals were being put on hold.
