25 Years Later: The Fragile Peace in Northern Ireland Under Threat.

25 years after the Good Friday Agreement, which ended three decades of sectarian violence in Northern Ireland, peace prevails but it is a cold peace. Separation barriers topped with spikes, known as "peace walls," still stand, limiting free movement in a modern European capital. Although some flashpoints are gone, deep divisions remain between Catholics and Protestants, between nationalists and unionists. Despite the power-sharing provision enshrined in the Good Friday Agreement, there is no functioning government today in Northern Ireland.
