South Africa is facing pressure to release cargo documents related to a Russian ship that allegedly collected weapons for Moscow, according to the United States. The ruling African National Congress (ANC) has also come under scrutiny for its relationship with Russia, with the party's Secretary General Fikile Mbalula saying the ANC would "welcome" a visit by President Vladimir Putin, who has been indicted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes. South Africa is obliged to arrest Putin if he enters the country as a signatory to the ICC treaty.
