Azerbaijan blocks vital land route to Armenia with checkpoint.

Azerbaijan has set up a checkpoint on the only land route to Nagorno-Karabakh, claiming it is necessary to prevent Armenia from transporting weapons. Armenia has called the move a violation of the 2020 ceasefire agreement and has called on Russia to implement the agreement. The US has expressed concern and called for free and open movement on the Lachin Corridor. Both sides have accused each other of border shootings.
