Belgium investigates alleged use of its weapons in Russia fighting.

Belgium is launching an investigation into whether weapons it sent to Ukraine, including SCAR assault rifles, have been used by pro-Ukraine Russian paramilitaries to launch attacks in Russia's Belgorod region. The investigation comes after footage showed fighters from pro-Ukraine Russian volunteer groups using Belgian-made weapons during an assault on Russian towns. Belgium approved its largest military aid package to Ukraine in January, worth €90 million, which included the SCAR assault rifles. The investigation aims to clarify whether the weapons were used for defensive purposes of the Ukrainian territory, as intended.
