Canada weighs expelling Chinese diplomats over alleged political interference.

Canada is considering expelling Chinese diplomats after China was accused of targeting a member of parliament and his family. The Canadian spy agency believes China sought details about the MP's relatives in an effort to deter "anti-China positions". The politician had previously accused China of human rights abuses. Canada's foreign minister Melanie Joly summoned China's ambassador to discuss the issue and said that all options including expulsion of diplomats remain on the table. China has denied the allegations and sanctioned the MP shortly after in response.
