Controversy Surrounds UK's Decision to Send Depleted Uranium Shells to Ukraine.

The U.K. plans to send armor-piercing tank rounds containing depleted uranium to Ukraine, despite warnings from Russia that it would be treated as using a nuclear dirty bomb. The rounds will be given to Kyiv alongside a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks. Though exposure to depleted uranium is not considered a serious risk, its particles can cause a “serious health hazard” if inhaled or ingested.
