Florence Mayor Confronts Climate Activists Vandalizing Historic Building.

Florence Mayor Dario Nardella physically stopped two climate change activists from vandalizing the historic Palazzo Vecchio building with orange paint. He was seen shoving the vandals and cursing at them before they were arrested by Florence police. The mayor was photographed assisting with the clean-up of the building and muttering "Barbarians, uncivilized" as he helped remove the paint. Similar acts of vandalism committed to spread awareness about climate change have occurred all over Europe in recent months.
