German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has pledged to support Ukraine for as long as necessary during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Berlin. Germany has announced its biggest military aid package yet, including tanks, armoured personnel carriers, combat vehicles, reconnaissance drones, and anti-aircraft systems. Zelenskyy reassured his Western allies that Ukraine's counteroffensive is designed to liberate areas occupied by Russia, not to attack Russian territory. The International Charlemagne Prize will be awarded to Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine for their resistance against Russia's invasion.
